Ori Developer’s Action RPG, No Rest for the Wicked, Delays Early Access Launch to Q2 2024

Moon Studios, acclaimed for its exceptional contributions to the Metroidvania genre with titles like Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps, is prepared to embark on a new journey. Turning its creative prowess towards the realm of dark fantasy action RPGs, the studio unveiled No Rest for the Wicked during The Game Awards in December. Initially set for an early access debut in early 2024, eager fans are now facing a delay before they can dive into this anticipated title.

According to the latest fiscal quarterly report from Take-Two Interactive, the company overseeing No Rest for the Wicked’s publisher, Private Division, the game’s early access phase has been adjusted to kick off in the second quarter of 2024, extending the wait by an additional quarter. While the report does not specify the reasons for this delay or a new targeted release date, more insights are expected to be shared on March 1, which should shed light on the postponement and upcoming launch specifics.

Upon its arrival in early access, No Rest for the Wicked will initially greet PC players, with plans for its complete version to expand its horizons to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms at a later date, for which the timeline remains to be announced.

Fans and followers of Moon Studios’ work are keenly anticipating more information next month, hopeful for details that will outline what awaits in this new, dark fantasy adventure.
